edition ~ verso welcomes artists, photographers, musicians, writers and makers across disciplines to our residency programme. each residency is tailored to meet an artist’s needs whether that be to include accomodation onsite or not, a focussed period in which to make work in an assisted manner and/or to allow for self-led projects that may or may not include workshops in the various print techniques.  Positioned in Melville, Johannesburg the residency offers access to a generous studio and garden and the genoristy of a growing community of fellow arts practitioners. We facilitate printmaking in a variety of techniques, papermaking and the publishing of works. Artists are able to focus on either a specific technique, the creation of a body of work and/or allow for a research-led programme that incorporates experimentation in what the studio has to offer.  Alongside our own in-house residency program, edition-verso opens its studio doors for collaboration and facilitation to artists from other residency programs. A common stream of artists in the studio are resident artists from LAPA.
